Obituary for Chris Yoder

Christopher James Yoder, 50 of Tacoma, died June 27, 2017. He was born on January 15, 1967 to George and Carol Yoder in Enumclaw, WA. Chris graduated from White River High School, obtained an Associate's degree from Olympic College, and completed a Phlebotomy Program at PIMA Medical Institute. In his early adulthood he served in the Army National Guard and the US Air Force. Chris worked as a Security Guard with American Corporate Security and most recently at PacLab on Beacon Hill as a phlebotomist, and he was a member of the Northwest Historical Miniature Gaming Society and the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society. He was a devoted father and husband and his greatest joy came from sharing his hobbies with his family and friends. He enjoyed historical gaming, roleplaying games, science fiction, and legos as a few examples. He was a lover of History and Science. He was a voracious reader with knowledge in many areas related to his interests. His favorite author was H.P. Lovecraft. He is preceded in death by his parents. Chris is survived by his wife of 21 years Michele; sons, Kyle James, 19, and Jared Michael, 15; dogs Dash and Lucy; sister Cindy Winston and her husband Dan; nephews Cody Winston and Cole Winston. In addition, Chris has many beloved relations in both his and his wife's family that will miss him greatly.
