Obituary for David Wayne Blackburn

Enumclaw resident David Wayne Blackburn died July 2, 2017. He was born May 22, 1946 in Chanute, Kansas to parents Wayne and Alta (Mitchell) Blackburn. He served in the US Army during Vietnam and on a RADCON team at Ft. Lawton in Seattle. David met Deanna Bair in 1976 and they were married in 1978. He worked with Deanna for 40 years at Carter Lift Bag making underwater flotation bags. David loved getting family together, camping (especially at the ocean), dirt bikes, Seattle Mariners baseball, and being a Seahawk fan (#12). David’s family was so special to him and his many friends thought so much of him.

David is survived by his wife of 41 years Deanna and daughters Renee Loveland and Gayle Ross all of Enumclaw; grandchildren: Cheyenne, Jasmine, Kylie and Conner; special niece Mahala Peterson; special nephews Dana, Jake, Rich and big Conner; great nieces Anni and Vera; father-in-law Eldon Bair; sisters-in-law Lisa and Julie (Dean); sisters Barbara, Carol, Linda and Ginger; brother Lee; and numerous friends. He was preceded by his parents and his brother Mike.

An inurnment service with military honors will be held at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 1:00pm and a reception will follow.
