Eugene "Gene" Kuhlman, age 81, died May 24, 2014 in in Enumclaw, WA. He was born April 25, 1933 in Snohomish, WA. He grew up on a dairy farm. Gene was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He served in the Army and then worked at Boeing as a Financial Manager. He always liked to play Bridge and did so until the very end. He enjoyed gardening. His favorites were rhodies, begonias, tomatoes and blueberries. He was also a golfer and bowler. He used to play at the Kent Bowl and won a number of trophies. Gene had a special way with animals which made them always want to be around him. He loved cows, dogs, geese, cats, rabbits and ducks.
Gene is survived by his wife Ann of Enumclaw; son Lee (Leanne) Kuhlman of Spanaway, WA; daughters Lynn Kuhlman of Covington, WA and Julie (Mike) Wright of Buckley, WA; brother Duane (Pat) Kuhlman of Snohomish, WA; sister Eunice Condit of Auburn, WA; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded by his parents Albert and O'Linda Kuhlman and brother-in-law Charles Condit.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 at 9:30am at Tahoma National Cemetery in Covington, WA. A memorial service will follow at Hope Lutheran Church in Enumclaw at 11:00am. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Hope Lutheran Church in Enumclaw.
