Woody Woodhead, 72 of Buckley, died May 13, 2017 in Tacoma, WA. He was born, Jan. 23, 1945 in Bremerton to Harold & Helen Woodhead. Woody served in the US Navy and was in the Vietnam war. For most of his life he worked in construction as a pile driver. Woody & Dixee were married Feb. 12, 1994 in Kent, WA. He loved his animals, but especially loved his family. Woody could fix anything & was an incredible painter, artist & loved to build. He enjoyed golf & fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tony & Hope Woodhead, & daughter, Melody Durham in 2016. Woody is survived by his wife, Dixee of Buckley; daughters, Lisa Sillence of Northgate, Tracie Hunt & husband Eric of Federal Way; son, Andy Woodhead & wife Melinda of Federal Way; daughter, Charla Travis & husband Larry of Buckley. He is also survived by sisters, Becky Anderson & husband David of Spokane, Pat Paasch & husband Sam of Clarkston, & Jan Cutshall & husband Gary of Wenatchee & 11 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Rainier Christian Center in Enumclaw.
