Obituary

SUSAN DIANE HUNSAKER, August 1, 1957 – January 28, 2017, Susie (Sue) was born in Danville, IL. She loved horses, flamingos, squirrels, reading, the Food Network, steak, pie, ice cream, Hawaii, movies, and a multitude of other things.

Remembering and missing her every day are husband Dennis Hunsaker of Enumclaw WA, her daughter, Samantha Rae Haralson of Seattle, WA, her mother, Shirley Earl and husband Dick, of Issaquah, WA, father, Richard Chanslor and wife Joanne of Honolulu, HI, sisters, Julie Chanslor and partner Brian of Greenville, SC, Christy Chanslor Mangini and husband Lou of Pleasant Hill, CA, Melissa Chanslor and fiancé John of San Francisco, CA. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

From Dennis: "She was the greatest person I ever knew. She cared more about others comfort and well-being, more than her own. She would do anything for anyone. She was always there for me…There will always be great memories of everything we did together!"

From Sam: "My mom was so many things to a lot of people. She was the strongest, most selfless person that I will ever know."

From Julie: "She was and will always be my big sister. I always knew I could rely on her to be here when I needed her, she was my anchor, she kept me grounded when I needed it even when I didn't think I did. She had the biggest heart of anyone I've ever known but she was no pushover, tough as nails when she needed to be. She loved with her whole heart and was loved in return."

From Christy: She was the most selfless, fun, generous, kind-hearted person and tough as hell to boot."

From a co-worker: "I worked at UPS with Miss Sue. She wasn't just a co-worker to most of us; she was our work mom/auntie."

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, February 18, 11:00-4:00 at the Enumclaw Masonic Crescent Lodge in Enumclaw, WA. Memorial donations may be made in Susan's name to: ASPCA at http://www.aspca.org/ways-to-give
