Joseph Arthur Albert was born in Auburn on September 25, 1925. His parents, Anthony & Caroline settled in Buckley over 100 years ago. Joe served in the US Navy from 1948 to 1952. He ran a successful dairy farm. He married Betty in 1952. They made their home in Buckley for nearly 65 years. He enjoyed traveling and Hawaii was a particular favorite. Joe was a 50 year member of the Marion Grange, served on the White River School Board as well as the Soil Conservation Board. He was a lifelong member of St. Aloysius Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty; 3 children, John Albert, Linda (Al) Steiner & Christine (Douglas) Phelps, 7 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held, Thurs., April 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius with burial at Buckley City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Service directed by Weeks' Funeral Home.
