Arthur Benjamin Janske, 79, of Buckley, WA died May 22, 2017. He was born June 13, 1937 in Long Beach, CA to Peter and Grace Janske. Arthur's parents moved the family to Wells, MN where his uncle had a farm. He grew up there as a true farm kid. At the age of 18 he married Betty Jean Peniter on June 20, 1955 in Mapleton, MN. He served in the US Army. Arthur and Betty moved to Minnesota Lake for 2 years before moving to Bemidji, MN where they spent 13 years. After the army Arthur started driving an 18-wheeler which took him to 48 states, 5 provinces of Canada, Northwest Territories and Alaska. He started his trucking career with United Buckingham then International Transport finally retiring from Gordon Trucking.
Arthur is survived by his daughter Kimberly Kay Bradley of Snohomish, WA; brother Walter Henry Janske of St. Peter, MN; grandson Colby Ryan Bradley; and his beloved Miniature Schnauzer Mylie. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Janske on August 26, 2000 and sister Lillian Janske.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Weeks' Funeral Home in Buckley, visitation is at 9am, funeral service is at 10am, followed by a reception, and interment is at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent at 1:30pm.
