Angeline J Entz

Angeline Jobe Entz passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on November 14, 2019.

Angeline was born in Dallas, Texas, on May 20th, 1932, to parents Charnell and Ruthie Jobe. She was raised in West Texas in Lamesa. Her extended family homesteaded in the Five Mile area in Dawson County and broke prairie land into cotton farms. Angeline moved with her parents into town and attended Lamesa High School where she was very involved in the Drama department and school leadership. She was an avid reader, from a very young age, and could always be found with books, wherever she was. Her family attended First Baptist of Lamesa and were very involved in church life. After graduating High School, she attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. It was there that she met Robert Entz, while he was stationed in Wichita Falls, during the Korean War. She graduated Magna Cum Laude. Robert and Angeline were married in Lamesa in 1956 and subsequently moved to Austin so Robert could attend the University of Texas and Angeline taught school.

Boeing recruited Robert in 1960 and they moved to the Pacific Northwest. They had two children, Elisabeth and her husband Ken Booth of Graham, WA, and Herb and his wife Angela, of Buckley, WA.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and five great grand pets. Angeline also has a huge extended family, living in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Eastern Washington.   

There will be a visitation Sunday, November 24th at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley, WA. Her graveside service is on Monday November 25th, at 1:15 at Tahoma National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at South Hill Baptist church on Friday, December 6th at 11:00 AM with lunch to follow.
