"Ardith Lee Haubrich age 84, died April 24, 2018 in Buckley, WA. She was born October 21, 1933 in Iowa Falls, Iowa, where she lived until the age of 7. She and her family then spent a few years each in Tacoma and Walla Walla before settling in Yakima for 10 years. Ardith graduated from Yakima High School in 1952 and in 1956 she graduated with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education from Central Washington University.
Ardith met her husband Robert (Dean) in Yakima and they were married in August 1956. Ardith and Dean moved their family to Buckley in 1967. She began her teaching career shortly after which spanned 28 years; most of which were in the White River School District.
Ardith enjoyed a full life with a teaching career and raising her family of four children alongside her beloved husband Dean. She enjoyed board games and camping trips with family as well as attending her grandchildren’s musical and sporting events. She also loved reading and baking cookies with the grandkids.
Ardith was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Buckley where she served as an Elder. This privilege became very significant in shaping her life. She is survived by her husband, Dean Haubrich of Buckley; sons Stuart Haubrich and Jeffrey Haubrich of Buckley, son Scott Haubrich of Gig Harbor, daughter Kristin Henke of Lake Tapps, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held May 17 at 2:00 pm at Community Presbyterian Church, Buckley.
