Beverly Langdon of Auburn died peacefully at age 81 on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Beverly was born in Brainerd, Minnesota on January 16, 1937, the daughter of Arvo Hautala and Mae Jokenin.
During her life Beverly was a woman of tradition, never owning a computer and reading her newspaper every day. Beverly liked the outdoors. She loved to camp, especially at Lake Roosevelt, and enjoyed the wildlife that came with being outside- in particular the birds and squirrels. When at home, to quench her love of the outdoors, Beverly tended her garden and grew beautiful flowers.
Her family remembers her as always a wonderful host who loved to celebrate everything, be it a holiday or a birthday, she would be there ready to throw a celebration. Mostly Beverly will be remembered for her kind and giving nature, and her love of her family.
Beverly is survived by her son Don Johnson, Jr. (Shirley), stepsons Robert Langdon (Lisa) and Ed Langdon (Cathy), daughters Kris Johnson and Shelley Chase (Bruce); 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and her dog and cat.
Memorial donations may be made in Beverly’s name to A.D. Alzheimer’s Association, North Tower 100 W. Harrison Street #200, Seattle, WA, 98119.
