On October 11, 2019 we lost a great man, father, husband, grandfather, and brother Darren Lee Dyer. Darren is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline (Jacci); his sons Robert and Ryan; his stepdaughter Candace; grandchildren, Kaylynn, Addisyn and Liam; and step grandsons Isaac and Elijah. He is also survived by brothers Donald (Sandi) and Doug (Connie); sister Denise (Dan); brother-in-law Dale Stiebritz; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Jeanne Dyer and his sister Deborah Stiebritz.
Darren proudly served our country in the US Navy where he retired as a police investigator. After retiring from the Navy he used his skills in various positions until he retired. Darren and Jacci moved to Grayland, WA where together they made a welcoming home away from home for those who visited, as well as their own personal paradise. Darren had many hobbies including a love for wood working, muscle cars, motorcycles, and spoiling his grandchildren and pets. He made friends wherever he went and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. All those that were lucky enough to know and love him will miss his practical jokes, his one liners such as “Okie dokie artichokie!”, his keen sense of humor, his patriotism: “thank you for your service” was told to anyone he came across with military experience, his genuine friendship, and his love for life. He passed away doing one of his favorite past times of riding his Harley, he was proud of recently opening a local chapter of Old Coots on Scoots.
Darren will be remembered during a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 20, 2019 beginning at 1pm at KenAnna RV Park in Grayland, WA. He will also be interred with full military honors in private ceremony at a later date.
Darren will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
