Del Grennan

Lifetime Enumclaw resident Delbert Grennan passed away peacefully on April 9th. He was 87 years old and the youngest of Fenton & Sylvia Grennan’s 11 children.

Del graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1948 and went to St. Mary’s College in California for a year where he played football and baseball. He returned home and married his high school sweetheart Sue McKay and they had seven children. Later Del married Linda (Erickson) Weddle and welcomed her two children to the family.

For most of Del’s life he worked in the automobile business. Del enjoyed watching sports, cooking for his family, pampering his dogs, and most years he looked forward to hunting and fishing with his brothers.

Del is survived by Linda, his wife of 43 years; sons Tim (Robin), Brian, Mike (Diane), and Carman Weddle (Marty); daughters Jill Coleman, Becky, Jody Murdock (Scott), Kari Thomas (Troy), and Alisa Helmer (Chuck); sister Dolly Fugate; sister-in-law Joy Grennan; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Del was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, four sisters, one granddaughter and one grandson.
