Edward M. Jackson 1938 - 2018 Ed Jackson of Bonney Lake, WA died peacefully on Hospice care with his beloved wife Rosemarie at his side March 22, 2018. The 2nd son of Ralph and Ann Jackson was born and raised in Wheeling, W.V. attended high school there and went on to the Catholic Univ. of America in Washington, D.C. for Bachelor and graduate studies. After initially teaching high school and college science courses, he returned to C.U.A. for a doctorate in cell physiology and Biochemistry. While still teaching in 1977 he was recruited for Research & Development by the Consumer Product industry. In 1992, Dr. Jackson founded his own full service Research & Development company. During his nearly 50 year career in both academia and industry, Ed was known for his integrity, clarity and sense of humor. In addition to speaking at numerous scientific meetings over the years, he founded and was the Editor in chief of the Toxicology quarterly "Cutaneous and Ocular Toxicology", served on several editorial boards, published numerous articles and books. He was active in several professional organizations and provided expert opinions to both national and international regulatory boards. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Rev. James Jackson, he is survived by his wife Rosemarie, many Jackson cousins and several personal and professional friends.
