Longtime Enumclaw resident Genevieve S. Carpita died Sunday, September 8, 2019 at her home. She was born January 23, 1939 in Amboise, France. Genevieve moved to the United States in 1965 and to Enumclaw in 1975. She taught French and French customs in a private school for over 12 years. Genevieve loved to knit, read French literature, listen to French music, travel, go to the ocean, and decorate her home. She especially loved her dogs. On April 11, 2007 Genevieve married Dan Carpita in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a past member of the Ladies Guild at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Genevieve is survived by her husband Dan Carpita of Enumclaw; sons, Jean Manuel Guillot (Debbie) of Kingwood, WV and Terrance Faul (Sarah) of Enumclaw; 2 sisters in France; and 2 grandchildren.
