Leonard Lee Thorsett, 77, a lifelong resident of the plateau passed away on May 28, 2018. He was born in Seattle on September 11, 1940 and graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1958. In 1959 Leonard entered the US Navy in the Naval Air Squadron, a fact which he remained proud of his entire life. This also fueled his lifelong love of all things aviation related as well as his love for learning. He was always assumed to be the smartest guy in any room.
Leonard is survived by his wife Judy; sons Jason Thorsett and Scott Cloutier; grandchildren Zach, Tiffany, Nathan, Amanda, Sarah, Ashley, Lexie and Annika; and great grandchildren Anna and Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Ethel; sister Hazeldeen Lievense; and daughter Nicole Warner.
Services with military honors will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 followed by a Celebration of Leonard’s life at the Enumclaw VFW Post 1949.
