Linda M Holloway

Linda M. Holloway, 73, of Renton, died September 26, 2017.  She was born May 18, 1944 to George & Ruth Holloway in Seattle.  Linda was raised in Kent.  She owned & operated her own seamstress business in Kent.  Linda was a member of the Episcopalian Church & Odd Fellows.  She was instrumental in getting the cities of Kent & Auburn to install ramps on corners so scooters & wheelchairs could have access to the sidewalks.  Her activism lead to a nationwide movement.  She is survived by her sister, Mary Whitley of Enumclaw & guardian, Camille de la Torre (Tony) of Oracle, AZ.  She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 1 niece, 1 nephew, 1 great niece & 1 great nephew.  Linda was preceded in death by her parents & brother, Charles Holloway.  Memorials may be made to: The Arthritis Foundation, 155 NE 100th St., Seattle, WA 98125.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and the funeral service will start at 11:00 a.m. at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley, WA. The graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent, WA.
