Lynne Dee Cook

On Friday, March 15, 2019, Lynne Cook, an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 69. Lynne was born in April 1949 in Ketchikan, Alaska to Anthony and Marie Dragavon. On June 12th, 1970 she married Thomas Cook. In 1973 they welcomed their son Matthew. Lynne was a project manager for Boeing, working there until she retired at the age of 55. She spent her retirement living just outside Enumclaw, WA with her husband, son, his wife, and her grandchildren. Being around her family was very important to her, and her grandchildren are especially grateful to have had such a strong connection with their Grandma. 

Lynne was a feisty woman who enjoyed inside jokes with her grandchildren and laughing in general. Her favorite nickname was Gramoozle, and she enjoyed frequent fist bumps. She was always opinionated, sticking to her gut, and never taking no for an answer. She enjoyed filling the bird feeder with seeds and watching the blue jays flock to the back deck. Sitting in the sun, watching her youngest grandson run around was also a fun pastime. She could be found baking apple pies in the kitchen singing along to her favorite songs or swapping book recommendations with her granddaughter.

She was on hospice the month prior to her passing, and her family made sure to spend as much time as possible with her, making sure she was comfortable and happy. Lynne is survived by her husband, Thomas, her son and daughter in law, Matthew and Melissa, and her three grandchildren, Alexander, Tallulah, and Oliver.
