Margaret C. Ongstad

Margaret Catherine Ongstad passed away peacefully on January 24, 2018 surrounded by family members after a long illness.  At the time of her passing Margaret lived in Black Diamond, Washington.  She was born May 8, 1932 in Kimball, South Dakota.  Margaret graduated high school from Notre Dame Academy in Mitchell, South Dakota and graduated nursing school from Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  She really loved caring for other people and mastered the art of bedside manner.  In her fifty-five years of nursing Margaret worked in surgery and on the surgical floor, then in later years cared for the elderly.  She will greatly be missed. 

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Caroline (Geppert) Mulcrone; her beloved twin sister Margaret (Mary) Mulcrone; her sister Donna Woehl;  grandson Chris Crawford as well as her 3 husbands, Leonard Scott, Bill Moerke and Thor Ongstad.  She leaves behind her sister Betty Carsten; brother Robert Mulcrone; 7 children and their spouses: Cathy Hoops, Vivian Scott, Barbara Stark, Mary Czaplinski, Patrick Scott, Dianne Johnson and Kenneth Scott; grandchildren: Nancy Retynski, Michael Czaplinski, Amber Snow, Rick Czaplinski, Kari Pierce, Kathleen Stark, Vanessa Chambers, Cory Pierce, Jylian Ibsen, Amanda Gablenz, Tyler Scott, Audrey Gablenz, Collin Scott, Chris Stark, Cory Crawford,, Matt Ward and Nick Ward; and great grandchildren: Jacob Retynski, Brooke Eddy, Zoe Retynski, Carleigh Eddy, Aydriane Holloway, Kayden Pierce, Faith Holloway, Abigail Jane Ibsen, Alden Chambers, Destiny Snow, Geoffrey Crawford and one baby boy Czaplinski on the way.
