Michael C Muma

Love is sharing your popcorn.  Michael Clement Muma knew this well.  For him a bowl of warm buttery popcorn was a small piece of Heaven and sharing it was his way of spreading that near-everlasting joy.  Born during a cold snap on February 13, 1941 in Charlevoix, Michigan, Mike grew up knowing a love for adventure, family, and God.  Long days were spent building up a good layer of sweat playing with his beloved dog, scoring three pointers on the basketball court, and pedaling his bicycle along tree lined trails.  Mike’s adventurous spirit took him to new heights where he piloted in and out of the clouds, his voice and spirit soared with others in the Men’s Choir at Wabash Presbyterian, he grew to be both wise and humble, and was constantly reinforcing his faith in God.  After everything, bouts of laughter, quiet contemplation, and the bold notes of “Nessun Dorma”, there was popcorn, there was family, and there was God.  On August 1, 2019 Mike went to traverse the streets of gold, joining with those who saw Heaven before him, his parents Mary and Richard Muma, and siblings Patrick Muma and Monica Rowland.  Those who will remember, each time they eat popcorn, that Mike’s love is stored up for them like a treasured inheritance are his beautiful wife Linda; his children Patrick Muma (Lindsay O’Neal), Elizabeth Muma, and Jennifer Watson (Steve); his brother Tim Muma; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  For Mike, remember that whatever pops your corn the love is in the sharing of it.  A funeral service was held, Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Wabash Presbyterian Church with burial at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park.
