Olivia (“Holly”) Mason Leale, age 73, died Saturday September 16, 2017 at home in Auburn, WA. Holly, born May 5, 1944, was raised in NYC by William Mason Smith, Jr. and Jane Prouty Smith.
Holly attended the Brearley School in NYC and later matriculated at Vassar College, earning a degree in history. Following her graduation, Holly married and moved to London, England. She raised her daughters in London and Seattle, WA.
Holly was a passionate individual who found joy in music, travel and her love of animals. It was her love for dogs that inspired Holly to start Argus Ranch Facility (ARF) and build it into a nationally-renowned event venue for canine sports.
She will be fondly remembered by her two daughters, Katrina Harvie-Watt (Marc) and Jennifer Harvie-Watt (Alex), her grandchildren, Alexis Faerber and Jackson Faerber, her brother, William Mason Smith III, and her first husband, Euan Harvie-Watt. Holly was pre-deceased by her husband of 27 years, Douglas Marshall Leale.
Family and friends are planning to celebrate Holly’s life with memorial services in the US and the UK.
