Peter Lenton passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2019 at his home in Black Diamond, where he had lived for the past 13 years with his wife Kathleen and his son David. Peter was born August 1, 1965 in Seattle. He grew up in West Seattle and attended Kennedy Catholic High School in Burien, where he met his wife. He attended Highline Community College, pursuing a degree in criminal justice. Peter was especially proud of the time he spent as a King County Reserve Deputy Sheriff in the early 90’s, started his own car towing & recovery services business, inspired in helping others, and spent the last 17 years happily working as a fulltime dad. Peter was full of life and laughter always ready to share a good story of his childhood summers in Vermont, high school marching band, or his other life adventures. Peter loved to read, listen to music, play his trumpet, work on cars, play video/computer games, RC cars and planes, camping, fishing and being outdoors, in addition to spending time with his family.
Peter is survived by his wife Kathleen; his son David; his sisters Sharon Pettit (John), Roberta Parrish (Mel), and Sandi Lenton; and numerous nieces and nephews and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Lorraine Lenton. Services are at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Black Diamond, July 20, 2019 at 11:00am, followed by a Celebration of Life at Lake Wilderness Park in Maple Valley.
