Phyllis Lambert Obituary

Phyllis Alaine McClelland Lambert was born Mar. 13, 1931 in Burlington, WA. She was the 2nd child of Sherman R. McClelland and Lula Belle Daves McClelland. The family moved to a 40 acre farm 5 miles from Mt Vernon, WA in 1932, where Phyllis lived until her marriage to Andrew J. Lambert on June 4, 1949. They had 4 children; Linda L. Lambert (Ronco), Larry L. Lambert, Lonnie L. Lambert and Nathan W. Lambert.

Phyllis and husband Jack gave their hearts to the Lord on May 4, 1954. They spent the better part of 50 years in the ministry with the Free Methodist Church. Phyllis was especially talented in storytelling and writing Biblical curriculum for Sunday school and church camps. Phyllis and Jack were foster parents for numerous children through the years. Many still know her as grandma and remain part of the extended family.

Phyllis is survived by three children, 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and scores of family and friends.

Phyllis was preceded in death by son Lonnie L. Lambert; husband, Andrew J. Lambert; sister, Betty Burt; brother, Charles McClelland and baby sister, Bell Louisa McClelland.
