Roseanna Hlede

Rose was born to Anton & Emelija Hlede on April 17, 1930 in Buckley.  She died on Dec. 18, 2017 in Enumclaw.  In her younger days, Rose worked on the farm before attending Whitman College and the University of Washington.  She spent many years at Boeing, then along with Doniel, Aloise, Amelia & Antonia, formed a partnership to run the Hlede Dairy Farm.  She also helped the Hlede Partnership buy & sell stocks & bonds.  Rose was a good horsewomen who never missed entering a horse race and won almost all of them.  She always said it was the best part of her life.   Rose is survived by her sister, Antonia Hlede.  She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Aloise & Doniel & sister, Amelia.  A visitation will be held, Thurs., Dec. 27th & Fri., Dec. 28th at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be held, Sat., Dec. 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Buckley with burial at Buckley City Cemetery.
