Sophia Mae Deti, 76, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2019 surrounded by her family, after post-surgical complications.
Sophia, known to most as Mae, was born on June 25, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Linel and Olga Meikle. On December 15, 1961 she married Glenn Deti in Ogden, Utah. Together they had 3 children.
Sophia enjoyed puzzles, gardening, crocheting, and being a grandma to 8 grandchildren. We will greatly miss her quick wit and caring heart.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Glenn Deti; son Wesley Deti (wife Karin); daughter Tiffany Tripp (husband Travis); daughter Nicole McMahan (husband Ryan); 8 grandchildren: Hayley Deti, Tatum Tripp, Ashlie McMahan, Luke Deti, Cody McMahan, Dylan McMahan, Lauren Tripp, & Madilyn Tripp; brother Lee Meikle (wife Arlene); sister June Johnson; sister Twila Ferguson (husband Greg); sister-in-law Mavis Bateman; sister-in-law Sandra Meikle; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Linel & Olga; sister Wanda Dunn; brother Ronald Meikle; sister Iris Hall; brother Emery Meikle; and brother Arvid Meikle.
Memorial services will be Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Weeks’ Enumclaw Funeral Home, 1810 Wells St., Enumclaw, WA. A small reception will follow at Glenn and Sophia’s home.
