Thomas L. Ratliff, 75, of Buckley, died September 17, 2019 in Puyallup. Thomas was born November 4, 1943 to parents Simpson and Beula Ratliff in Auburn, Washington. In the summer of 1963, Thomas took Hazel Bowen to be his wife and soulmate. He was a man who worked hard to provide for his family, Thomas spent his working career as a logger, truckdriver and gunsmith, clearly a man who enjoyed working with his hands. In his free time, he was a man of the outdoors, it didn’t matter If it was for work or play being in nature, in the woods and mountains fed his soul. Most important to Thomas were his family and friends for, “The most important thing in the world is family and love.” Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Hazel Ratliff, of Buckley; sons, Bill Ratliff and wife Michelle and Russell Ratliff, both of Buckley; sisters, Lucille O’Dell of Oklahoma, Lois Horn also of Oklahoma and Barbara Thompson of Puyallup. Thomas is also survived by two treasured grandchildren, Luke and Joe and two great-grandchildren, David and Daniel. Burial in Buckley City Cemetery.
