William "Dennis" Berscheidt

Enumclaw resident William “Dennis” Berscheidt died November 5, 2019. He was born August 6, 1954 in Ellinwood, Kansas to Gerald and Norma Berscheidt. Dennis won a state individual wrestling championship for Auburn High School and graduated with the class of 1972. He joined the US Army in April 1975 and was stationed in Korea. After 2 years of service he was honorably discharged in April 1977. Dennis had a kind spirit, he loved to read, listen to music, play his guitar, and watch sports. He was also an excellent chess player and very knowledgeable about history.

Dennis is survived by his sisters Jackie Poyorena (Steven) and Mary Berscheidt both of Tacoma; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Eric, Stephan and Jaime; and many extended family members.

A graveside inurnment service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Calvary Cemetery, 5212 S. 70th Street, Tacoma, WA 98467. Father Justin Ryan of St. Charles Barromeo Catholic Church will preside. Please share a memory of Dennis on the tribute wall.
