Yvette P. (Powers) Lawrence

Yvette P. Lawrence, age 54, died April 1, 2019 at her home in Bonney Lake. She was born June 17, 1964 in Cape Fear, North Carolina. In 1982 Yvette graduated from Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, California. She attended cosmetology school in Garden Grove to become a nail technician. On February 18, 1989 Yvette married Rod Lawrence in Garden Grove. She worked as a mortgage funder for over 20 years, was an avid crafter and card maker and enjoyed collecting cobalt blue glass.

Yvette is survived by her husband Rod; daughter Alyssa Cox (David) of Lakewood, WA; mother Claudette Charles (John) of Flagstaff, AZ; sisters, Leslie Kuhn (Tom) of Prescott, AZ and Natalie Richards (Tim) of Riverside, CA. She was preceded in death by her father William Powers.

A Celebration of Yvette’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the McMillin Grange, 12615 SR 162 E., Puyallup, WA 98374.

Yvette had a contagious smile and laugh and was loved by all. She had the last laugh dying on April Fools Day with a smile on her face.
