Aggie passed at home, surrounded by family, on September 29, 2022 in Enumclaw, WA. She was 93 years old. She was born in Spokane, WA on September 22, 1929, to her loving parents Oscar & Anna Anderson. Aggie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.She spent her youth in Spokane and attended Yakima Valley Academy and Lower Columbia Academy. She spent her senior year in CA at Glendale Academy where she nannied for the wonderful Hershey family.
Aggie attended college in Walla Walla, WA, where she met and married Ray Horton. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Cheryl “Cher” and Connie. The family moved to Bellevue, WA, when Ray began working for Boeing.
Aggie’s second husband was Darren Arend. They lived in Bellevue before building a home on 3 acres in Redmond, WA. Aggie loved the farm. They built a pond so the grandchildren could fish. The farm, with its expansive patio, was the gathering place for the whole family and was host to countless family events. She went to Bellevue CC at age 44 and became an RN. They began wintering in Florence, AZ, where they built a home and a citrus grove. Eventually full time in AZ, they enjoyed golfing and spending time with their many friends. They also traveled the US in their motorhome. After Mike died, Aggie stayed in Florence until moving back to WA to live with Cher. They delighted in entertaining family and friends at the condo.
Aggie adored animals and loved going to the zoo where her favorite were the otters. Her dachshunds Herman and Hans were well loved as were her Siamese cats Itsy, Bitsy, and Itsy II.
Upon her death Aggie leaves behind her daughters, Cher and Linda (Mike); sons, Walter (Cathy) and Mike (Cathy); grandchildren, Brian (Danielle), Trish (Shane), Melissa (Rob), Chris (Wanda), Mike (Shannon), Jeff (Delia), and Becky (Matt); and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Darren and Connie.
