In loving memory, we announce the passing of Agnes Deanna Moses on August 25, 2023, in Auburn, Washington. Born on November 3, 1962, in Auburn, Washington, to Cecil Moses and Thelma Lozier Moses, Agnes's journey was one of love, family, and the beauty of the world around her.
Agnes found her greatest joys in the simplest of moments. Spending time with her family was her heart's delight, and her connection to the Shaker Church brought her peace and spiritual solace. Nature was her sanctuary, with the mountains and rivers serving as her backdrop for serenity. Dancing, "slot sluttin”, breakin hearts, and traveling were her expressions of joy, infusing her days with a vibrant spirit.
Agnes’ legacy of love lives on through her children: sons, Keevin Williams, Sr. (Nicole Mounts), Sergio Moses, Cecil Moses, daughters, Naketa Williams (Demarius Evans), Keisha Flores, and Sylvia Agaton (Woody Naputi). Her nurturing influence extended to her brothers: Gerald Moses, Carl "Bud" Moses, Sr., Louie Moses, Sr., Johnny Moses, and sisters: Mardee Rodrigues, Lorraine Moses, and Sarah Moses.
Her grandchildren, Keevin Williams, Jr., Izahya Williams, Seonee Williams, Aiyahna Williams, Nakiaya Williams, Telaya Evans, Demari Evans, Matua Naputi, Mayani Naputi, her great-grandson, Jodeci Williams, along with several nephews and nieces, carry the legacy of her warmth and care. While the weight of her absence is heavy, the memories of her love provide comfort.
Agnes' journey is marked by both joyful moments and sorrowful farewells. She reunites with her parents, Cecil and Thelma Moses, in the realm beyond. Her brother, Earl Moses, and her grandson, Nikko Williams, and other nieces and nephews also welcome her with open arms.
As we remember Agnes Deanna Moses, let us carry forward the love she shared and the joy she found in the world around her. May her memory be a source of strength and solace for her family and friends, and may she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that never fades.
A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Muckleshoot Shaker Church.
