Ailsa Katherine Panasuk, of Auburn, peacefully passed on August 1, 2020 at the age of 95. She was the loving mother of six children: Sandy Klein (Ray) of Auburn, Debbie Cook of Everett (deceased), Linda Seibold (Ken) of Walla Walla, Wanda Johnson (Richard) of Upland, CA, Steven Mark Panasuk (Marnie) of Brewster, and Cindy Holdener (Dan, deceased) of Auburn. Ailsa was the grandmother to 12 loving grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was born in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia on September 26, 1924 and raised in Perth until she was nineteen. She met Sam at a USO dance during WWII and married the love of her life in 1943. After the war, she along with many other war brides, sailed on the U.S.S. Monterey to the United States. Following her husband’s military career, the family settled in Burien raising their family until 1987, when they built their retirement home in Auburn. Ailsa enjoyed gardening, gaming and her devotion as a homemaker, wife, and mother. Ailsa is preceded in death by her husband Sam, daughter Debbie, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. Her only surviving brother is Kevan who resides in Australia. Her final resting place is with her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Please share a memory of Ailsa on the tribute wall.
