Allan Whitehouse Obituary

Allan E. Whitehouse, born on February 23, 1927, passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 93, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Katherine Whitehouse, sister JoAnne Cerne and son-in-law Bruce Strom.

Allan grew up in Palmer/Kanaskat where he spent his life with his wife of 70 years Bella. He loved steelhead fishing on the Green River which wound through his back yard. Allan was a WWII Army veteran. He always had a story to tell about his logging adventures in the early 50’s, working on the Howard Hansen Dam, his years as a timber cutter for Weyerhaeuser and with the County Road Crew.

After retirement Allan, Bella, family, and friends had many motorhome adventures, fishing trips, visits with grandchildren at college and just seeing the sights.

You could always find Allan spending time in his unorganized garage, enjoying Mariner games and watching his river.

Allan is survived by his wife of 70 years, Bella, daughters Vickie (David) Forler and Cindy Strom, grandchildren Michael Coutts, Michelle Hillard, Matt Strom, Eric Strom, and great grandchildren Conor Coutts and Helina Hillard.

Allan’s ashes will be spread on the Green River where he will always call home.

Donations may be made to Rainer Foothills Wellness Foundation and Enumclaw Food Bank.
