Anna Marie Coutts

Anna Marie Coutts, born December 17th, 1925, passed peacefully on April 18th, 2022 in
Auburn, Washington. She was 96 years old, and had the most beautiful silver-white hair. She
lived her life her way, and we chose this picture for her memorial tribute, because it embodies
her smile, and fun, sassy sense of humor and the mischievous twinkle in her eye.

Anna attended the Washington School State for the Blind, and resided in King county most of
her adult life- over 44 years in Enumclaw. She valued a strong work ethic and had many
occupations in her work life, including working at a laundry service, in a family-owned grocery
store, at a Chinese restaurant in downtown Enumclaw and as a caregiver. She loved her home
and flower beds, and the views of Mt. Rainier. She was always up for a cheeseburger and an
ice cream cone, and liked her pull-tabs and occasional visit to the casino. Her favorite
scripture was the 23rd Psalm, which she could still recite from memory at 96 years old.

She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Hobi; and her granddaughter Andrea “Andy” Shoffner
(Mike), and great-grandsons, Tylar Hobi, Hunter Shoffner and Chase Shoffner. Anna was
preceded in death by many family members. We imagine that there is a big celebration in
heaven and they are all dancing on streets of gold with our Lord and Savior.
The family will have a private celebration of her life just the way Anna requested.
