Charlotte Grager Obituary

Charlotte entered into eternal life with our Lord July 8, 2020 at the age of 94. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dearly loved friend to many.  She was born March 1, 1926 to Martin and Clara (Mahlke) Menz in Wimbledon, North Dakota. Charlotte married Alfred Grager on September 26, 1947 in Wimbledon and they began their life together farming. In 1952 they moved to the Seattle area and several years later to Enumclaw, where she resided until her death.  Charlotte was active in school activities with her children and Camp Fire Girls. She was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn, Grace Lutheran in Buckley, and Trinity Lutheran in Enumclaw.  For many years she taught Sunday School and adult Bible classes. Charlotte's love and kindness touched many lives wherever she was, and she will be missed dearly.

Charlotte is survived by her sons, Rick (Mary), Tim (Tami), and Phil (Jodi) of Enumclaw; daughter, Debbie Pena (Jim) of North Plains, OR; grandchildren, Erin, Jamie, Scott, Hailey, Robin, Kainoa, Kalani, Mileka, Anthony, and Nicholas; and great grandchildren, Ian, Murron, Ailbe, Josie, Mia, Abbie, Jackson, Ashlyn, Dannon, Elijah, Samuel, E'Liah, and Elam. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Inez Buboltz and Elaine Menz, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; brothers, Chester, Lloyd, and Marshall; and sister, Nora.

A private graveside service will be held with a memorial service/celebration of life to follow at a later date.

Remembrances may be made to:  Trinity Lutheran Church, 1535 Washington Ave, Enumclaw, WA or Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org
