Cherie Hoselton Obituary

Cherie Dawn Hoselton was born on January 15, 1942, and entered our Lord’s presence on March 17, 2023. Cherie was born to Earl and Lydia Taylor in Bellingham, Washington. She was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend. Aside from family, gardening and people were the two things that she loved most in life. She married Richard Doyle when she was fifteen years old and together, they raised four daughters. Cherie was widowed, remarried, and gained two additional daughters in her second marriage to Tim. After their marriage in November of 1999, Cherie joined Tim on his property in Ravensdale where they enjoyed nature and the beautiful views year-round as well as entertaining family and friends.

Cherie quickly set about filling the property with plants both inside and out. Cherie was a member of the Enumclaw Garden Club. She raised Rhododendrons from cuttings as a member of the Rhododendron Society, potted fuchsias for EG&B Nursery and took pride in the annuals she started from seeds in the greenhouse that Tim lovingly built. She loved to share her plants with others. Cherie hosted an annual bough party to celebrate the holidays; each year the number of people invited grew to encompass anyone wanting to join in the fun. As she filled the ground with plants, Cherie filled the kitchen with wonderful smells. She was known for her pickles, relishes, jams, jellies, and salsas as well as her candies, mints, and holiday favorites.

Cherie was known by some as the official ‘hugger’ or greeter at her home church, Wabash in Auburn where she was rooted. Cherie was very involved with Wabash’s Greif Share group as well. Cherie volunteered, faithfully, for years at the Enumclaw Food Bank.
Loving and helping people was second nature to Cherie.

She is survived by her husband Timothy Hoselton; brother Bob Taylor; daughters Shanelle Noll and husband Rick, Ronia Schmidt, Tory Bennett and husband Rodney, and Kelly Doyle, Patti Pries and husband Rick, and Lora Pearson and husband James; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in her death by her parents, her first husband Richard Doyle, her brothers Earl, Mike, and Lloyd and her sister Eloise.
Cherie will be dearly missed by all those who were touched by her life.
