Christian Gunner Tongue
June 20, 1991 ~ February 2, 2024 (age 32) 32 Years Old
In loving memory of Christian Gunnar Tongue, a cherished son, brother, and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Enumclaw, Washington, he was a proud graduate of Enumclaw High School and cherished countless friendships throughout his 32 years. Chris found solace and joy in the sun-kissed shores of Sunland and Lake Tapps during his summers. In his early years, Christian eagerly adopted the joy of engaging in physical activities, such as jet skiing, surfing, and immersing himself in the world of water sports.
A true master of his craft, Christian's hands held the magic of mechanics, transforming broken into fixed, and dreams into reality. His prowess as a mechanic was unmatched, earning him the admiration of many who marveled at his ability to make things happen. Christian’s favorite saying was, “I’m on it.”
In 2018, fueled by sheer determination and grit, Christian embarked on his journey as an entrepreneur, founding his own trucking company from scratch. With nothing but a vision and unwavering resolve, he built his empire, starting with just one truck and a dream. Through his relentless dedication, his company flourished.
But Christian's legacy extends far beyond his professional accomplishments. He was a beacon of light, a steadfast friend always ready to lend a hand. His generosity knew no bounds, and his willingness to help others left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
Christian's heart overflowed with love for his family, especially his cherished sister and brother. Their bond was unbreakable, a testament to the depth of his devotion.
Chris is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Michelle Tongue, his brother Travis Tongue, and his sister Kylee Tongue. His memory lives on in the hearts of grandparents Roy and Harriet Tongue, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Gerry Bishop.
Though Christian may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories of those who knew and loved him. His kindness, his laughter, and his unwavering spirit will forever echo in our hearts.
In honor of Christian, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness, perseverance, and boundless love. May his soul find eternal peace, knowing that he made a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A final farewell will take place at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley on Friday, February 16th, at 10am, followed by burial at Evergreen Memorial Park in Enumclaw. The commemoration continues from 11:30am to 2:30pm at the Buckley Eagles. May his spirit find eternal peace.
Please share a memory of Chris on the tribute wall.
