Dale Richard Taylor
On Saturday, October 24, 2020, Dale Taylor, loving husband, and father of four children, passed away at the age of 79.
Dale was born on January 6, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Alice Boege and Alfred Taylor. He graduated Olympia High School in 1959, Centralia College in 1961, Trinity International University in Illinois in 1964, Seattle Pacific College with his Master of Education in 1972 and he taught for 33 years in Auburn. On August 7, 1965, he married Renae Jeanne Eckardt. They raised four sons, Mark, Paul, David and Phillip in Buckley.
Dale had a passion for education and love of Scuba Diving. He was one of the first to plunge into the Puget Sound with his NAUI card issued in Seattle in 1969 by instructor #63. His students at Cascade Junior High in Auburn were graced, every year he taught, by the day he brought his tanks, scuba suit, and fins to class and got to hear him tell of underwater adventures. He was a father figure to many with his studious smile, and his kind and compassionate eyes. He mentored many with lessons to last a life-time...
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Nile Mix, and his mother, Alice Mix. He is survived by his wife and four children, Paul’s wife Barb and son Zachary, his Sister Marge Mix and wife Nancy Hembroff, and Mark’s wife Janine and two grand kids, Bethany, and Micah. Dale now resides with his savior Jesus.
