David Wayne Bentley passed to be in the presence of Jesus on September 10, 2022, after a recent cancer diagnosis.
Born in Colorado February 10, 1961. Moving to Washington state in his youth, eventually to reside in Carbonado where he met his wife Cynthia (Toot) of nearly forty years (October 9th, 1981). Dave built his home and raised his family in this small community.
Dave was always there for his family, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather as he loved each fiercely. A man of many talents and skills, lending a helping hand to neighbors and strangers, it seemed there was little he could not do. He had a passion for his family, hunting, the outdoors, and taxidermy. A member of the Carbonado School Board for many years, a planning commission member, a volunteer, a baseball coach, and in his early walk with Jesus, a member of the church choir.
Dave (Aka Dad, Grandpa) is survived by his wife Cynthia, his children Amber (Kevin) Mathis; Robert (Carrie) Bentley; Joshua (Ashley) Bentley, and Felicia (Chris) Pollock. Grandchildren Tristan; Willow; Magnolia; Asher (Amber), Arlen; Evelyn (Robert), Amelia; Alaina; Averie (Joshua), Edynn; Seth; Raven (Felicia).
We are comforted in our grief and hold steadfast to God’s promises, having the knowledge that Dave recommitted his life to Jesus.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
