David Ivy Obituary

David Alan Ivy, 79, of Enumclaw passed away February 17, 2022. David was born May 31, 1942 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to parents, Sam and Pauline (Blount) Ivy. When David was 17, he enlisted in the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. In 1984, David met the love of his life, Kathy. They were married on November 8, 1986 and had 36 wonderful years together.

David enjoyed woodworking and making beautiful items. He was always happy helping people. David’s love and devotion to God came first, he had a passion for learning as much as he could about him. He loved reading the Bible, going to Sunday Bible class, and doing things at and for the church. He liked looking at the mountain and taking drives up to Mount Rainier National Park.

David is survived by his wife, Kathy Ivy; children: Stephanee Benton (husband Troy), Jolene Stacks (husband Dana), and Rick Morris (wife Jamie);  grandchildren: Joshua Brown, Brice Erickson, Alexis Morris, Brandon Watt Morris, Gaige Stacks, Braxton Stacks, Ayonna Stacks, and Jennifer Green (husband Loran); great grandchildren: Faith Brown, Scarlett Brown, Emily Green, and Lexi Green; and his sister, Marilynn Thornberg. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Eldon Ivy and Danny Ivy.

A memorial service will be held for David at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Church of Christ, 26007 SE 425th Street, Enumclaw.

An inurnment with military honors will be held at a later date at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
