Obituary

DuWayne Dale Oehler was born December 20, 1932 in Decorah, Iowa to Lloyd Albert and Cora Louise (Holien) Oehler. He died July 10, 2023 in Auburn, Washington at the age of 90. DuWayne came from very humble beginnings. He worked hard and joined the Air Force, serving from 1952-1956.  After his service DuWayne moved to Washington State, used his GI Bill to pay for college, and earned a degree in drafting. DuWayne worked for the Boeing Company for 30 years. While working at Libby’s packing plant he met Nancy Cleveland, and they married on August 18, 1961.

DuWayne is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Lori Jewett (Bob) and Eric Oehler (Lisa); four grandkids, Rob (Lindsey) Tyler (Julie), Aiden, and Emma; four great grandkids, Lyla, Warren, Lucas, and Cora; four siblings, Davd (Rosemary), Doug (Linda), Grey (Peg) and Cindy (Alan); along with several nieces and nephews.

DuWayne is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd; mother, Louise; stepfather, Malcolm; brother, Nyle; his twin brother, Wayne (Joan); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin and Virginia Cleveland; and nephew, Jeff Cleveland.
