George James Cross Jr.

1935 - 2021


George James Cross Jr. passed away on March 18, 2021 at his home on the Muckleshoot Reservation at the age of 85. He was born in Auburn, Washington on October 23, 1935 to parents George Sr. and Alvina Cross. George served in the Marines before becoming a jack of all trades. He was a substance fisherman, worked security for the Muckleshoot Casino, welder, wood cutter and a carpenter. What he enjoyed most was being a grandfather.


The things George loved doing was hunting, making smoked fish, picking huckleberries, fishing for trout and steelhead, fireworks and he had a soft spot for cats and dogs. During his lifetime he gained some awards as well including veterans, Crow and Henry King George and even winning a hunting case.


George is survived by sons James Cross Sr., Gerald Cross and Gary Cross; daughters Rosette Andy and Mitzi Judge; foster son Kenneth Foreman; sisters Virginia Cross, Mildred Jones, Marlene Cross, and Lorraine Cross; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; even his cat Baby.


Dad Crow had 5 children, but he raised many.
