Gordon Wozeniak of Buckley, WA lost his battle with cancer on June 26, 2021 at the age of 72. He passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by family.
Gordon was born on August 21, 1948 in Buckley to the late John and Alice Annas. He was the third of four siblings, brothers Gary and Kenny before him, followed by the youngest, Marvin.
Gordon graduated from White River High school in 1966. In 1970 he began working in the woods and found his forever passion. After working for others, followed by a company partnership, in October 1985 he went out on his own and started White River Logging, followed by the addition of Gordon Wozeniak Trucking. Gordon was still actively working in the woods when he received his cancer diagnosis in January 2021. For Gordon, the woods were his way of life.
Gordon married Trudy Ireland in 1972, after 364 days of friendship and courtship. Together Gordon and Trudy raised 3 children, Brenda, Sandy and Kelly. Gordon loved the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, crabbing, and poker. He was lucky to have great friends and family to share his passions with over the years. We will all miss his warm smile and infectious laugh. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and papa.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents John and Alice Annas, and brother Kenny Annas. He is survived by his wife Trudy Wozeniak, his brothers Gary Annas and Marvin Annas (Florence), his daughters Brenda Wozeniak and Sandy Williams (Mark), his son Kelly Wozeniak (Corrine), and his seven grandchildren Ethan, Isaiah, Dane, Carter, Renner, Drew and Bronc.
Gordon will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the City of Buckley Cemetery.
A eulogy, immediately followed by a celebration of life, will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the Buckley Eagles #1387, 29021 State Route 410 E, Buckley, WA.
