Gregory Weickum Obituary

Gregory Allen Weickum of Enumclaw, Washington passed away peacefully at the VA hospital in Seattle Washington on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the age of 64.

Gregory was born May 14, 1958 in Auburn, Washington to Herbert and Gloria (Hintz) Weickum. He was the third oldest out of five. He graduated in 1976 from White River High School where he enjoyed Track and Field. His favorite events were running and the hurdles.

After high school he enlisted into the USMC with his oldest brother Larry. After boot camp he met his first wife Machelle (Shelly) Wade. They married in 1976 and were later divorced in 1993.

Greg enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing. He would often get others addicted to fishing so they could share stories about their fishing trips. One of his biggest accomplishments was climbing Mt. Rainer. Hunting was another pastime he loved. Greg liked to go to casinos and out to eat at his favorite restaurants. He was always meeting new people, he loved socializing with friends and family.

North Dakota was another place in Greg’s life that was special to him because he loved to visit his family there, work on the farm and fish in his off time.

In May of 2005, Greg met the love of his life, Monica Harkins who he enjoyed being with until his death.

Greg is survived by his sister Debbie (Weickum) Carolyn; brother David Weickum; sister Brenda (Weickum) Bailey; son Jeramey Weickum; daughter Jennie Weickum; life partner Monica Harkins; his life partner's daughter Alyssa Harkins; and 4 grandchildren.

A service will be held at a later time.
