Harold “Hal” Lyon passed away at his home in Buckley, WA on Thursday, November 14, 2019. He was born October 6, 1957 at Griffiss Air Force Base, NY, to Robert Lyon Jr. (deceased) and Audrey Lyon (deceased). He grew up in a military family with his siblings, Robert Lyon III (Laura), Michael Lyon (Karen), Steven Lyon (Cindy) and Joyce Maudslien (Karsten). After he served our country in the Air Force, he went on to work for the Boeing Company for 40 years, until he retired in July 2017. On February 2, 1980, he married the love of his life, Stephanie Bailey. They lived in Kent, WA for 38 years before moving to their current home in Buckley, WA. Although he had MS for over 35 years, it never stopped him from his many passions. He loved camping, taking pictures, the Seahawks, Starbucks and of course his beer. Another passion of his was helping to restore a B29 Superfortress at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA. He is survived by his wife Stephanie, their two children Matthew Lyon (Risa) and Jennifer Solbrack (Jonathan) and four grandchildren (Kaili Solbrack, Kaitlynn Solbrack, Emma Lyon and Adam Lyon). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society of Seattle.
