Ina Jane Smith of Buckley died peacefully April 15, 2021. She was 88 years old. Ina was born October 17, 1932 to Ray and Helen Thieman in Puyallup Washington. She grew up on a small farm outside of Buckley and graduated from White River High School in 1951.
January 27, 1951 Ina married the love of her life David (Stubby) Smith. They were married 48 years, until his death in 1999. Together they raised their five children, loved dancing the jitterbug, traveling to Kauai, Hawaii, winters in Yuma, Arizona, summers at their cabin in Long Beach, Washington, and time at home in Buckley with family.
Ina loved cooking, working in the garden, and hosting friends and family for anything and everything.
Survivors include sons Kip Smith (Marlene) of Bellingham and David Smith (Susan) of Puyallup; daughters Peggy Morgan (Ron) of Buckley and Stacy Wierzeleski of Orting, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and two sisters Evelyn (Mel) Mothershead and Louise (Lee) Cope. She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Helen Thieman, twin sister Inez Coyne, husband David Smith, daughter Lynda Fallon (Bill), and granddaughter Mackenzie Morgan.

Due to the CDC and state regulations her viewing and funeral will be private, with family viewing, followed by funeral services at Week’s Funeral Home in Buckley. Graveside services will be open to the public on April 30th at 12:00pm, at the Buckley Cemetery.
