Iver Oscar Oster was born on November 6th, 1931 and grew up on his family farm in Hazen, ND. He was baptized on December 13th, 1931 and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. After completing school to the 8th grade, and working on the family farm, he served in the US Army from December 9th, 1953-November 28th, 1955. Iver and Evelyn were blessed with six children, Garret, Brenda, Jeffrey, Kevin, Patrick, and Angela.
In retirement, Iver spent his time woodworking, reading, fishing, overseeing, and helping his own children’s building endeavors, hanging out at the Enumclaw Sales Pavilion, and finding the best garage sale deals.
