Retired Master Sergeant James “Jim” Michael Pollreis passed away peacefully at home the evening of September 6, 2020 surrounded by his wife and two daughters. Jim lived an exceptional life. After serving in the Air Force for 21 years, he retired and moved his family to Washington, where he worked for Boeing for 20 years until his retirement.
The one thing that people will remember the most about Jim is his generosity and his caring heart, or maybe his corny jokes. Even right up to the end of his life he was always trying to help people out or make them smile and just feel loved. No matter where you would go with Jim, he was always stopping random people to tell them a joke or just to give them a smile.
His 5 grandchildren completed his life! In his spare time Jim loved spending time with his family and throwing a line or two in the water.
Jim is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Carolyn; daughter Stephanie and her husband Jeff, their sons Caleb and Colin; and daughter Kimberly and her fiancé Matt, their daughters Gracie and Sophie, and son Marek. He also leaves 7 sisters and 4 brothers behind, in addition to many other loved ones.
Jim is preceded in death by his son Christopher Woosley; parents Bob and Betty Pollreis; mother-in-law Jan Newton; sister Susan; and brother Danny.
A service with military honors will be held at the Tahoma National Cemetery the morning of September 21st. Only immediate family will be able to attend the cemetery service due to COVID restrictions, but all are welcome to attend a celebration of his life at our house in Enumclaw following the service at 11:30 am.
Please share a memory of Jim on the tribute wall.
