James "Jim" Miller Obituary
Jim Miller, an 80 year resident of Buckley, died March 6, 2021, just short of his 96th birthday. He was born March 24, 1925, in Wadena County, Thomastown, Minnesota, and his family moved to Washington State in 1940, settling in Buckley. He had a rewarding 34-year career with Weyerhaeuser, starting on the green chain line in Enumclaw, and retiring after his last seven years in Issaquah, Washington, as a stock controller.
Jim married Darlene Ostlund, from Verndale, Minnesota, on July 1, 1948, and had a wonderful 54 years with her.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Trudy Jones and husband Danny of Bonney Lake, and Janell Holman and husband Roger of Tacoma; sister, Lois Bechdoldt of Kent; and three grandchildren, Eric Jones and wife Nicole, Travis Jones and wife Anola, and Randy Holman.
A memorial servie will be at a later date at Community Presbyterian Church in Buckley.
