Janet Lee Moeller Dickson, 86, died peacefully on March 31, 2022 in Enumclaw, Washington surrounded by her family. She was born August 6, 1935 in Enumclaw, Washington, the youngest child of the late Aurthur F. and Karen B. Moeller. She was also preceded in death by her brother the late Arley Moeller.
Janet graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1953 where she was active in many school activities. She attended the University of Washington and was a member of Sigma Kappa. She married her high school sweetheart, the late Paul B. Dickson August 6, 1954 in the Idaho Falls Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Janet and Paul remained happily married for 62 years.
In 1963 Janet and Paul opened MD Drug and Department Store in Enumclaw, Washington which remained an important part of the community for nearly 40 years. Janet was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in numerous callings. Janet and Paul served two 18-month missions for the LDS church in San Francisco, California and Mesa, Arizona. Janet enjoyed her family, camping, hiking, pickle ball, tennis and going to the ocean. She was always in attendance at her children’s and grandchildren’s extracurricular activities.
Janet is survived by her sons Paul Douglas Dickson (Dawn), Dean Moeller Dickson (Elizabeth), Darrel Moeller Dickson (Holly); one daughter Diana Jayne Gunderson (Lance); 20 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. They will always remember her beautiful blue eyes, smile and cheerful disposition.
Janet’s greatest joy was other people’s happiness.
A viewing will be held April 23, 2022 from 11:00-11:45 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 246 Semanski Street, Enumclaw, Washington and will be followed by a Service at 12:00 PM.
