In loving memory of Jennie Cecelia Martin, born on October 24, 1963, in Auburn, Washington, to her parents, Henry Andrew Kinggeorge and Mary Ann Pelkey Kinggeorge. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of her passing on August 4, 2023, in Federal Way, Washington.
Jennie’s journey was marked by her dedication to her profession as a Fisheries Biologist for the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe. Her commitment to her work exemplified her love for her community and the land. Beyond her professional endeavors, Jennie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She immersed herself in activities that brought her happiness, including cooking, sewing, crafting, stickgames, canning, fishing, baking, berry picking, and tapping buttons.
Jennie lives through the love and memories she leaves behind. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Moon Martin, Sr., and her children: Joseph Martin, Henry Martin, Lucille Martin, and Marilyn Martin Borrego, and her sisters, Loretta Kinggeorge Williams, and Eva Kinggeorge Cayou.
Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Kinggeorge and Mary Ann Pelkey Kinggeorge, her son, Moon W. Martin, Jr., her siblings; Henrietta Kinggeorge, Kimberly Kinggeorge, Ida Kinggeorge, and Henry Kinggeorge, Jr., and her nieces, Kelsey Cayou and Madeline Williams. Her reunion with them brings comfort to her family.
She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. May she find peace, surrounded by the love and warmth she shared with her family and community.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Muckleshoot Pentecostal Church. Burial at New White Lake Cemetery to follow.
