There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor - Charles Dickins. No one knows this more than those left to love and remember Jonathan Mark Rupert. The smiling, laughing son, brother, fiancé and most importantly father. Jon was born to parents Cynthia Wright and Mark Rupert on April 16, 1986 in Tacoma, Washington and tragically taken from the world September 26, 2020 in Orting, Washington. It seems that Jon, the awkward goofball, grew up with a need for speed, from rolling a go-cart no one had even managed to roll to crashing through his mom's roses on his bike. Jon's love for speed turned into a love of fast cars, the fast and furious kind. "Straight roads are for fast cars; turns are for fast drivers"- Colin McRae. Any cars could keep Jon's attention, be it driving them or working with his hands fixing them. In fact, working with his hands was another thing that Jon took great pleasure in, his wood burnings are featured in many downtown Puyallup bar for all to see. Fixing and making things gave him extra excuses to spend time with friends and to help people, something he was well known for. He would help anyone even if he didn’t have the time. This extended to his volunteer work, especially with The Thin Blue Line group. Jon's story would not be complete without the mention of his love for hunting, he has hunted across the country and made many lasting friendships along the way. Hobbies and interests aside Jon's proudest accomplishment was becoming a dad to son Liam, now 8 years old. Liam was the light of Jon's life and a constant reminder of the man he wanted to always be for him.
With Jon now hunting and camping in heaven, those let behind to remember his giant smile and his hilarious laugh are his son, Liam Rupert; fiancé, Candace Anderson; step-daughters, Addisyn Anderson and Caylynn Hollis; parents, Cynthia and Kail Cartwright; father, Mark Rupert; 5 brothers, Austin Cartwright, Charles Woodward, Jeremy, Justin and Jacob Rupert. Jon is also survived by his grandmother, Sandra Wright and to many cousins and nephews to name.
